Optimal number of pages
(Note: applicable to offset printing in Klaipėda)
In order to ensure the optimal price of the book production, it is important to coordinate not only the format but also the number of pages in advance. In production, we use standard materials and formats that allow us to efficiently use paper and reduce waste, which directly affects the final cost of the product.
Why is page count important?
A properly selected number of pages avoids unnecessary blank pages at the end of the book and ensures a smooth printing process.
- Lower paper waste.
- More efficient arrangement of press sheets.
- Lower overall production costs.
- Neat and professional final edition.
Recommended formats and planning
Some formats are particularly favourable for efficient production. For example, the most commonly chosen and economically optimal formats are 110 × 178 mm and 130 × 205 mm. They make it easier to combine the number of pages with printing technology. You can read more about this in Standard Formats section.
Flexible solutions for different projects
While we recommend optimal solutions, we can produce books:
- Various formats – from 100 × 124 mm to 155 × 225 mm;
- with a block thickness of 4 mm to approx. 70 mm.
It is important to note that non-standard solutions can affect the cost and deadlines of production, so early project coordination of the specification is highly recommended.
Optimal page count
The table below shows the recommended page count, selected in such a way that as few white pages as possible remain at the end of the book to achieve an optimal balance between price and production efficiency.
